What’s Uni Link?
UWA Uni Link programs combine micro-credentials courses offered by The University of Western Australia (UWA) and day-tours within Perth.At Uni Link, students will access innovative academic programs and receive UWA academic credits that they may be able to use to apply for one of the University’s award courses. The programs delivered by Uni Link are tailored to each group’s specific academic requirements, with the number of academic credits depending on the total number of study hours. Students will experience life as a member of the UWA community.
What courses do Uni Link offer?
Uni Link offers a wide range of courses including but not limited to the areas of biology, business, computer science, design, engineering, and law.
How to register for Uni Link program?
Uni Link mainly manages customised group programs tailored to each group’s specific academic or activity needs. Please contact us for booking and enquiries.Uni Link may take individual students if there’s availability for extra students in a customised group program. We strongly encourage individual students to stay connected with us for future program updates by reaching out at your convenience.
What is the minimum number of students for the customised group program?
For customised group program, the class requirement is 20 students minimum.
Are there any requirements for international students to apply for this program?
Below are some common requirements for international students to apply for Uni Link’s program, kindly note the requirements are subject to the specific program and individual participation may have other requirements as well.• High-level of English language and comprehension skills are required to complete the course, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is recommended.• Applicants must be aged 16 or above at the commencement of the Study Tour program.
What is the arrangement for accommodation and meals?
According to each group’s needs, Uni Link can assist with arranging on-campus / off-campus / homestay accommodation. Kindly note that the accommodation is subject to availability. As for meals, Uni Link can assist with meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) arrangement, but it is subject to the providers as well. Please make out your group plan and contact us at your earliest convenience to secure the booking.
Is there a deadline for group booking?
The booking deadline for customised group programs is at least three months prior to the program start date. Booking is not confirmed until the payment has been received and informed in writing.We strongly recommend initiating the process well in advance due to the time required from the initial inquiry to the final booking. Early contact ensures a smoother experience and increases the likelihood of securing your preferred dates and program details.
How to get the certificate and Professional Development (PD) Transcript?
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement during the completion ceremony.As for the PD Transcript, it will be made available electronically for easy access and sharing. Students will receive an email from My eQuals after the course results have been uploaded into the system. This email provides a link and instructions to log in to My eQuals to access your digital PD Transcript.If a hard copy of the PD Transcript is preferred, you can order and pay for it through the online Academic Documents ordering process.
Can current UWA students enrol in Uni Link’s programs? Will they receive the academic credits?
Yes, current UWA students can apply for Uni Link’s programs. Students who successfully complete the courses will earn Professional Development Points (PD Points). Students may be able to use these PD Points to apply for one of UWA’s award courses. It's important to note that while current UWA students can accrue PD Points, they cannot be applied to their current UWA degree but for beneficial toward the future UWA degree(s) or other degree(s).
